Make A Splash Makeup Tutorial

Summer is the time to be bold and bronzed. One color that I tend to shy away from in the makeup world is blue. I don’t really feel like channeling my inner Mimi on a daily basis, but being bold means taking risks. At $34, Urban Decay’s Ammo Eyeshadow Palette is the perfect palette for this look. It features some serious pops of color, with lots of everyday shades to balance things out as well. Whether you’re a natural girl or a trendsetter, this makeup look will definitely help you make a splash this summer!

What I used:
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (used as an eye primer)

First, prime your eyelids with your choice of primer. I like using whatever concealer I have available at the time. It helps cut down on the cost of my makeup addiction habit.

After priming your eyelids, you will need your bold blue color (Shattered from the Ammo Palette). Apply this generously all over the lid, making sure to pack on the color.

Next, apply Maui Wowie to your crease. This helps blend your blue with the next color in the palette we will be using. After you have blended Maui Wowie well, apply Smog to your crease with a light hand. The harder the hand, the smokier your look.

After you have applied your fun shades, I reach for a cream shade to highlight my brow bone. Lastly, I apply a light coat of mascara. Voila! Eyes are complete.

No summer look would be complete without a little bronzer. My favorite shade in this palette is the bottom middle. My skin tone is currently pasty (a.k.a. ghostly white), so I can’t wait to move to some darker shades as I get a little sun.

This look is super easy, fun, and will be sure to impress all summer long!

    1. Thank you! I was a little nervous creating this look (one because I've never done a tutorial before & two because BLUE EYESHADOW!) but I'm happy with the way it turned out. :) As much as I love Mimi, I think I'll pass on her beauty preferences!
