DIY FRANK BODY SCRUB DUPE

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of coffee. Iced coffee, cappuccinos, a nice hot mocha, you name it. Recently, a different type of coffee has swept social media in a different form— body scrubs. If you have yet to hear about the ever-so-lovely Frank Body Scrub, featuring coffee grounds and more, I’ll bet you’ve seen the little brown paper bag packaging floating around Instagram.

The scrub is said to diminish the appearance of cellulite, tighten and tone the look of your skin, exfoliate, and leave your body feeling softer as ever. I’m no health expert, but coffee is naturally a great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory as well. Not to mention, it smells delicious. So I jumped on the bandwagon with the rest of the beauty world, and have been experimenting with using and making my own! This is one of my favorite concoctions so far.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-1/2 cup coffee grounds (either grind the coffee fresh or use pre-used grounds like I do)

-1/2 cup sugar (any sugar will do, but I would recommend something more finely ground, like brown sugar, if you have sensitive skin)

-1/4 cup oil (I personally used coconut oil or recommend olive oil)

– Small jar or container with lid to store your scrub in once it’s finished

After you have your ingredients together, mix it all up inside a small to medium sized bowl until you’ve reached a good consistency. Relocate to the container you plan to store the scrub in. Use during a hot bath or shower, and enjoy!

For best results, rub onto damp skin, leave for 2-6 minutes, and scrub off.
