I'll be the first to admit that when it comes to makeup ingredients, I generally have a "what I don't know can't hurt me" philosophy. However, I have been making an effort lately to become more conscious of what is going on my skin. And I have to tell you, the stuff that's in most big-name formulas is kind of horrifying.
So a few weeks ago, I decided to try experimenting with creating my own powder foundation. The idea of concocting your own makeup sounds a bit intimidating at first, but I promise it's not so bad. In fact, the most difficult part was just tracking down the ingredients (I'll help you out with that).
Keep in mind, this powder is not meant to provide full coverage. It gives a light dusting of coverage and color, which is just fine for most of us. The color of the powder can be tweaked depending on the ingredients and quantities used, but we'll get into that more in a bit. Read on for the recipe!
