DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte Scrub

Here in Florida, we don't exactly have the traditional Fall season. Nevertheless, I still embrace everything autumn: pumpkin candles, anything with apples, Chanel’s iconic Vamp polish, Halloween decorating, and Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Nothing says Fall like the release of Pumpkin Spice, and I jump on the pumpkin bandwagon as soon as September begins. If you're itching to get your hands on that Pumpkin Spice Latte like I am, whip up this easy DIY pumpkin spice latte sugar scrub. With coffee, pumpkin, and warm fall spices, this caffeinated scrub will keep you buzzing all autumn long.

Here’s what you'll need:

1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup coffee grounds
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice OR a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger

1. Melt coconut oil in the microwave until completely in liquid form

2. Stir remaining ingredients into your bowl of coconut oil

3. If the mixture has too much liquid, keep adding brown sugar by the tablespoon until you've reached desired thickness.

Use this sweet scrub in the shower, or stash by the sink for a hand scrub!

  2. Could you clarify something for me? Are the coffee grounds in the recipe supposed to be fresh ground coffee prior to brewing, or are you referring to the leftover grounds, after brewing?
    Thank you,
    Linda

    1. Hi Linda!
You could use either! If you use grounds from brewed coffee, just add a little less coconut oil, since the grounds will be a bit moist from being brewed. Hope you like it! :)
