Your 5 Minute Post-Workout Makeup Routine

After breaking a sweat in the gym, the last thing you want to do is cake on makeup. However, sometimes life gets hectic and you don't have time to fully freshen up. For those days when you need to throw yourself together in a hurry, here is my go-to makeup routine after a workout:

The very first thing you’ll want to do is rinse off. Ideally, try to hop in the shower and wash off all the sweat from head-to-toe. If you don't have the time for a shower, be sure to at least splash your face with water.

1. Face-Cleansing Wipes
I use Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. This will remove all the remaining sweat and old makeup residue, so that you'll have a clean slate.

2. Tinted Moisturizer
After a workout, the last thing you want to do is apply a heavy layer of foundation. I like to use Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream. It’s not too heavy, and it has just the right amount of coverage.

3. Eyeshadow
When you're in a rush, it definitely isn't realistic to do full eye makeup. However, just a touch of eyeshadow can really brighten up tired eyes from an early-morning workout. I use Ulta Eyeshadow in Bone to illuminate my eyes.

4. Setting Powder
If you don't have the time to rinse off very well, you'll likely still be a bit hot and sweaty. A pressed powder helps to set the rest of your face, and it also keeps oily skin at bay.

5. Blush
If you’re anything like me, you'll likely look a bit washed out after a tough workout. Applying a natural pink flush to the apples of your cheeks really brings the face back to life. I use Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Hot Tamale

6. Mascara
Mascara is a quick and easy way to open up tired eyes and give settle definition. If you only use one product post-workout, this should be it!

Overall, this process takes about 5 minutes. These steps will get you out of the gym and on your way in a flash for work, lunch, shopping, or anything else you have planned for the day. All that's left to do is change your clothes, throw your hair up into a messy bun, and start your day!

As soon as we started speaking, my great therapist was very professional and understanding. Warren took the time to ask me questions and get to know me before we started video calls and online chats, so we could jump right into it. It's been 3 weeks and I'm already feeling less anxious, so thank you to this fantastic therapy.
